@Suzianne saidNice casting, Suzi!
Are you expecting to get the next White House Press Secretary job?
I understand the main requirement is the ability to lie your ass off under any circumstances. Seems you're the man for the job.
AvgJoe also has this going for him: he seems to come from the Fatherland/Motherland/Heartland/Homeland of whatever this country is turning into.

@AverageJoe1 saidWhen a POC is considered for a job, any job, why does your mind immediately go to 'they have no merit for the job'? Have you ever considered they are the 'best qualified'? No? Why not?
And here is a topic for you while we are looking at serious stuff.
Why will you have to have a person of color as your next candidate? for anything? CERTAINLY for pres and/or VP? Why is merit irrelevant when you fill a job?
Do any of Trump's Cabinet members "have merit for their job"? No. They were jammed into them only because they look white.
@AverageJoe1 saidA slow creep. We have masked secret police and detainment procedures for citizens who have not committed crimes. That's my only point. A slow creep.
Thankyou for clarifying. I see that all that is going on. Do you want me to rave like sonhouse, saying what i think, and what i think they should do? How to make an imperfect thing perfect?? Maybe link a few Marauder links? Are you for real? I think I will pepper you with the Adam Schiff situationn, and ask you what you think aobut that. Or let's discuss Kamala and ...[text shortened]... be resolved ....nothing. So that is what I am saying I don't want to write about resolving nothing.
@Arkturos saidNon-transactional?
But Ghislaine (how could one not blame the parents) Maxwell has just testified (in completely non-transactional circumstances which coincidentally resulted in an upgrade to her habitat), that she never saw Trump do anything wrong.
Case closed.
😉
Everything Trump does is transactional.
Everything.
@Suzianne saidSorry -- maybe I should have included a footnote to make it clear that I was being ironic.

May I ask if you sometimes don't get irony? -- not for the sake of mockery, but just for the sake of calibration and understanding when it comes to interactions with you.
@Arkturos saidOh, it's usually irony, but those spewing it usually don't get that that is what it is, so bringing it up just confuses them.

@Suzianne saidI would have to say that is a respectable response. 😉

Has it never occurred* to the "whites" and the colorists that melanin was a beneficial adaptation after we lost our fur?
Dogs and cats are white under their fur. How about you?
And sure, the current Trump administration is so chock-full of meritorious hires that one can only scream "Hallelujah!" or "Help me Somebody!"
Joe, may I ask if you see your role here as being the straight-man (in the comedic sense) automatic whiffle-ball shooter?
_____
* btw, two Cs and two Rs in "occurred" and "occurring". For the sake of commiseration, I sometimes struggle to remember that "embarrass" has two Rs, whereas "harass" has one. 😉
@AverageJoe1 saidBecause you have to have a person without color and you keep succeeding.

@Arkturos saidCats have the melanated skin in the same pattern as where their fur is dark. My cat even has dark spots on his gums in the same pattern as his fur.

@AThousandYoung saidThank you. Good to know.

@AThousandYoung saidWait -- are you saying that "white" is not a color?
Because you have to have a person without color and you keep succeeding.
