One summer when I about 6, a few of us kids from the neighborhood took some worn out blankets and threw up a makeshift blanket fort in a vacant lot nearby. We'd crawl in, make up little clubhouse rules, tell silly stories, and sometimes trade things, such as toy pistols or baseball cards. We felt so exclusive at first but slowly became bored with it. After 1 summer the blanket fort was taken down.
Trump supporters are living in their own makeshift blanket forts today; it's their own little world where:
1. Liberals never work
2. Liberals always want free stuff
3. Liberals are all Socialists
4. Liberals want open borders
5. Liberals aggressively push a homosexual agenda on our kids.
6. Liberals are all drug users
7. Only MAGA folks are REAL Americans
8. Only Conservative news outlets tell the truth
9. Those who work in Government jobs are evil parasites (What does that say about Trump, Vance, and Bondi??)
10. Congress and the judiciary owe their allegiance only to Trump - and no one else.
11. It's OK to take over other countries, because "might makes right!"
12. Only TV personalities and showgirl bimbos are qualified to work in positions of trust.
13. Donald Trump fights a never-ending battle for Truth, Justice, and the AMERICAN way!
It's a comfortable little blanket fort.
1.You don't have to tell the truth, just parrot back what FOX says.
2. You don't have to think, just parrot back what Breitbart says.
3. You don't have to stay on the point of OP discussion, just parrot back items 1-13 above.
They are so happy in their little blanket fort, with their MAGA talking points and their space cadet glow.
My friends and I outgrew our little blanket fort by age 7. It's sad to see that so many adults are still living in theirs
@mchill saidDid you get Charles P. Pierce's permission to use his 'blanked fort' idea to refer to Trump and his supporters? Did you even give the man credit in your post or did you just plagiarize the whole thing?

No - I used this blanket fort example here in these forums to describe the GOP back in 2015, and I don't need Charles P. Pierce's permission (or yours) to do so again. 😏
@Rajk999 saidWhen you have no response to the observation, chip away at the way its said.

You should work for Fox. You would fit in well over there.
@fornichessate removed their quoted postSo you don't have a problem with the Trump transformation and the dedicated way in which his administration has targeted every convention and ally America previously upheld?
@mchill saidOk, here is a comment about the content. Im not a Trump supporter and not American. From the outside people can see that many Americans are polarized, and are not able to see that a man can do both good and bad things. I bet you think you are correct when it is blatantly obvious you cannot see that half of your list is either nonsense or is something good. Here we go ..

1. Liberals never work
Cant remember anyone saying that .. so you start off with rubbish
2. Liberals always want free stuff
Liberals, who tend to believe in welfare or that the state should provide more welfare, naturally lean towards getting free stuff from the state, so yes they seek welfare more than conservatives
3. Liberals are all Socialists
More liberals are socialists than conservatives
4. Liberals want open borders
Liberals promoted the idea of less restrictions on the borders, during Biden administration, and the figures show this
5. Liberals aggressively push a homosexual agenda on our kids.
This happened in the Biden admin, and quieted down under Trump
6. Liberals are all drug users
Never saw anyone saying this
7. Only MAGA folks are REAL Americans
8. Only Conservative news outlets tell the truth
9. Those who work in Government jobs are evil parasites (What does that say about Trump, Vance, and Bondi??)
10. Congress and the judiciary owe their allegiance only to Trump - and no one else.
No comment .. i dunno
11. It's OK to take over other countries, because "might makes right!"
Its OK to take over countries abused by tyrants and help them fix the problem. Yes. Ok to go into Islamic countries who are killing Christians and put a stop to it.. YES. Im surprised you think otherwise
12. Only TV personalities and showgirl bimbos are qualified to work in positions of trust.
13. Donald Trump fights a never-ending battle for Truth, Justice, and the AMERICAN way!
@Rajk999 saidSo if someone who grew up with the firm belief in American exceptionalism and a strong belief in the rule of law and the President's duty to uphold the constitution and saw the total disregard Trump and his cronies had for the same, by your logic they would be justified in invading and taking over America to rescue its citizens from the maladministration of Trump and project 2025?
The floor is yours now.
@kmax87 saidSomeone? If they want to then go right ahead.

Next question.
@kmax87 saidI can comment on whatever I choose. So I declined to comment on stuff what concerns Americans. Im an outsider, and I know my place. At least I contributed to the discussion.
No comment for questions 7,8,9,and 10? Really? Do you understand any part of this debate, or is it a pretext to launch into an islamaphobic rant?
