@AverageJoe1
I had a good laugh when he said that, can you imagine the uproar if Trump did the same thing?
@averagejoe1 saidwell hell, he was playing in the MASTERS!

I know, I know, it is OK with the liberals in this Forum. But would it be OK if Trump had said it? This is a great example of a trick question,.....you cannot answer it, you can only chew on your pillows.
biden just playing the part.
@averagejoe1 saidWas it a boy? Was he Japanese?

Then there’s no problem.
What’s your point?

This is 'not' racist. Here is an Americanized version to prove the point:
“Hank, I know how proud you are — the people of America are — and you’ve got an American boy coming over here and guess what? He won the Masters. He won the Masters. He won the green jacket,”
Heck here's an English version:
“Clarence, I know how proud you are — the people of England are — and you’ve got an English lad coming over here and guess what? He won the Masters. He won the Masters. He won the green jacket,”
@ghost-of-a-duke saidafter all, we had a black boy for president didnt we?

Why did you not use this in your example of the English, or maybe right after your English version???? African boy. Ghana? Congo? You cool with Biden saying that? You thus cool with Trump saying that? Remember, I just aak questions, just threshing things out here.
So to re-phrase, he said the equivalent of that, which is a reference to race or whatever, I guess this thread could go ad nauseum unless some grown-up lib, and I think that there are none, would step up and admit it was a racial comment (blatant racial distinction, Shav, to answer your question above....... Why don't you be the brave lib and admit it, now that it has been explained.?)
@shallow-blue saidJust grown ups, please , Shallow. There is a time-worn issue on the table that needs to be put to bed. Thanks.

Well played 🤔
@averagejoe1 saidYou're right, context is everything. 'Boy' could be used as a slight, racial or otherwise. In this context however the President was congratulating an athlete.
