You are merely showing your ignorance of the English language. Boy and lad are synonyms and interchangeable in the context used. So colloquially I could say:

"Sandwiches were tastier when I was a boy."

Or

"Sandwiches were tastier when I was a lad."

English is a beautifully nuanced language and words do indeed have multiple usages. So I could say, for example, "my mate Dave is a bit of a lad" and this would have a very different interpretation than me saying, "when I was a lad I collected stamps." Do you see that?

In the UK, 'lad' is often used to mean 'boy,' (they are synonyms) and that is what we have been talking about in this thread. Only 'you' have introduced 'laddish' which is more commonly used in the context of roguish behaviour.

Nothing you post here will change the fact that lad and boy are synonyms.
