Donald Trump Has At Least $1 Billion In Debt, More Than Twice The Amount He Suggested
Lots of people believe the president owes $400 million, especially after Trump seemed to agree with that figure on national television Thursday night. In reality, however, he owes more than $1 billion.
The loans are spread out over more than a dozen different assets—hotels, buildings, mansions and golf courses. Most are listed on the financial disclosure report Trump files annually with the federal government. Two, which add up to an estimated $447 million, are not.

Well, at least we know Trump hasn't made a fortune while in office like Obama, Biden, Pelosi have.

@mott-the-hoople saidThere are copies of documents in the article showing what Trump owes and to who.
where in the article does the writer present proof?
@vivify saidWhen you say 'gave $1.3T, it brings to mind the Russian mayor's wife handing $3M to crooked Hunter. Why am I typing this? What a waste, the whole forum could actually do so much good.
Trump gave the rich a $1.3 trillion dollar tax break, which includes himself. He's clearly using the office of the presidency for financial gain. The problem isn't that he made money while being president, it's the he specifically used the power of the presidency to get rich.
This guy is corrupt.
Anyway, as a, ahem. biz man, of course Trump has debt. What a joke, your naivete'. Do you all not realize that most successful people BORROW money, debt is on normal balance sheets. Most companies sell better, and find more buyers, when there IS debt on their balance sheets. Y'all should only write about stuff that you at least have a working knowledge of. Whew.

@averagejoe1 saidTrump is $1 billion in debt AFTER going bankrupt a whopping four times.

Bankrupt FOUR times.
Trump is a failure as businessman; his debt causes massive conflicts of interest with the presidency, which Trump has profited from immensely.
@mott-the-hoople saidWrong. The article is listing *specifically* what Trump owes. They even highlight this for each document with the words "What Trump Owes".
those documents are listing company debts that Trump only owns a small interest in and saying Trump is responsible for the entire debt.
