@BOBDANIEL09 saidSoo. Tariffs aren't better in the short term?
Tariffs are better in the long run
In your dream, maybe 50 years from now, 60% tariffs cause the return of rust belt america, decreasing our need to import goods. Then where does government revenue come from?
Taxes would still be high.
@BOBDANIEL09 saidWrong. Deficits were down for 6 years straight 2010- 2016
@wildgrass
Most of this debt was from policies created before Trumps presidency
It was trump administration policies that doubled deficits.
@boonon
Funny thing about that, a lot of people DO love that fruit and a lot more like say Columbian grown Avocado's. It is not just hardware effected by that stupid tariff.
TV's, music streaming thumb drives, hard drives, SSD's, cables like HDMI, Cat 5, mostly made overseas so ALL that stuff gets the 20% tax.
You are looking at this through a very narrow lens,
@vivify saidStick to either what he said with direct quotes from specific times and places, or what I have said. I have been listening to the speeches the four of them have been giving, and listening to the questions and answers.
Wrong. Trump did. He wants tariffs on all imports: 60 percent tariffs from China, 20 percent on all other imports.
You defend Trump's tariffs yet don't even know that?
@sonhouse saidNo, like I said. I worry about my grandchildrens future, and US manufacturing. You are worried about the price of your papaya.

Too bad you are so fuuuking shortsighted.
A 20% tariff will TANK our economy and will do nothing to help US manufactured goods.
So you want an HDMI cable? Good luck getting it for the original pre tariff price or any one of thousands of other items not produced here and some cases cannot be produced here.
And OF COURSE you would never take the word of Nobel prize winning economists over your god Trump.
@sonhouse saidYou are short sighted. Looking at your fruit. You even defended it by saying that others enjoy that fruit, taking some liberty there in speaking for others but thats what you do. I am talking American jobs.

Trump could care less about American Jobs, he is interested in one thing and one thing only, getting TOTAL power and this POS tariff deal will be seen as one minor issue compared to the other POS 'policies' he wants to foist on America like putting 15 million people here legally in concentration camps and putting some 3 times the number of children kidnapped from parents into cages again.
Or pulling out of NATO, which funny thing is NATO is the one coming to OUR aid after 9-11 but that means nothing to asssholes like you who just want to weaponize anything you can to support your criminal would be warlord and dictator.
What I just mentioned is just a drop in the bucket to what he WILL do if allowed to be POTUS again.
And now there is a list of HUNDREDS of former Trump associates, former officers in his cabinet, 4 star generals, note PLURAL generals, not just Milley whom I think you would call a traitor or some such BECAUSE Trump said that.
They ALL say Trump is not fit for office but you watch Trump go PLAY AVE MARIA LOUD, VERY LOUD and then sway back and forth like a stalk of wheat in a wind for over a half hour not taking any more questions, talk about HARRIS not answering questions? He swayed like a drunk monkey while playing the GAY song YMCA and I bet he doesn't even know the Village people were gay.
And you think HARRIS is slipping? What the FUUK does it take for you to see through the charade of Trump?
@BOBDANIEL09 said"According to Trump, deporting huge numbers of undocumented workers; imposing high tariffs on most, if not all, foreign goods; and increasing presidential discretion over fiscal and monetary policy will bring prosperity to American workers. In fact, every one of these measures will do the opposite. By restricting the supply of resources that U.S. businesses, workers, and households value and use, they will reduce the productive capacity of the U.S. economy."
@sonhouse
Can we please stick to the topic of the economy
Adam S. Posen - The True Dangers of Trump’s Economic Plans
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidThe system falls apart unless it is honest and above board throughout, you cannot have built into it cheating, where businesses use slave labor undercutting wage laws due to undocumented workers. You cannot cheat by not supplying healthcare to a working-class, you cannot document a working class that has no documentation that you can validate. I'm surprised at those willing to allow businesses who would conduct such practices as something to be protected, against those that follow the rules and laws completely. I guess when you don't like someone you can overlook anything and approve of anything that helps harm his stance on topics.

@BOBDANIEL09 saidWho else would be, after all. Everyone needs to pick the problem that is most important, and the candidate that could best handle it.
Trump is the candidate that will improve the economy the most and that is clear.
Some could avoid vote for Trump, his breath, tie-too-long, and victimless crimes notwithstanding, cause he is likely best solution to most problems. Does anyone think Harris would be?
Which problems?
