How do you follow God what made you become a Christian then?
Edit: And what makes you believe that you follow God in every aspect?
Edit: And is following God that is what gets you in to Heaven and not Jesus, which Jesus said he is the ...[text shortened]... could click on reply & Quote so we know who you are responding to.

Yes, I heard on the radio today that we can't do anything to get to Heaven accept though Jesus, because on the Cross he said it is finished. So we can not work are way to Heaven.
I heard a JW who became a Born Again Christian, he said what shoked him once was that a Pastor to a Christian Church that his unger bother went to and the pastor said, " how arrogant it is to say that Jesus dying on the Cross is not sufficient for Salvation.
In China alone 20,000 people come to know Jesus a day as there Lord and Savoir.

... intolerant behavior will no longer be tolerated ...

Even you admit that "Jesus dying on the Cross is not sufficient for Salvation." Surely you agree that one must believe in his/her heart and confess with his/her mouth that Jesus is lord? This is important because there are xtians who believe that Jesus' death means salvation for everyone, regardless of whether or not they accept it. Given however that you require more than only Jesus dying on the cross, what do you think of the pastor's statement?

It's really so sad. Well hopefully population growth there will swamp this figure.

You will find no intelligent conversation to be had here my friend. Only hate filled and condemning comments intended to further a putrid agenda stinking up these forums from high heaven to low hell.
I don't see how I am misunderstanding the context. Please pay
especial attention to the words 'no intelligent' and 'only
hate-filled condemning comments.' Please elucidate for my benefit.
All you have done both in private messages and in this forum is to
justify why your spiteful behavior is justified. You have been very
clear -- I make no bones about it. I simply reject your actions and
justification. I feel that they only serve to 'putrify' the forums further
(that is, by choosing not to act 'gentlemanly' and 'respectfully' towards
others).

I agree with Omnislash that it is almost impossible to have a serious debate or discussion about religious topics anymore.
The funny sarcastic verbal destructors, the Champions of Free Speech, have done their job very well.

not mean that one has to respond to them.

I generally go with the level of argument that I encounter. If some people are having what appears to me to be a serious discussion, then, if I choose to enter the discussion, I invest some time to making an honest effort at constructive argument. If people are shooting short and superficial paragraphs back and forth, I will respond with humorous quips.
One of the reasons I have all but ceased engaging in serious debate here is that I became tired of spending 40 or 50 mins thinking through and writing out a long response only to receive a multitude of short, superficial responses from my dissenters, many of whom had not given me the courtesy of reading my entire post!
Before I get responses from the wrong people, here's a little disclaimer. There are a few people who I have discussed with that did not engage in the above described behavior.
Wow long post.

and I think that Omnislash's attitude only serves to

occurs. Yes, there are many hateful people, yes, there are many annoying
people, yes, there are many stupid people.
How does this differ from anywhere else? Do you think that, for some
reason, RHP has attracted a disproportionate number of these people,
and the rest are going somewhere else?
Experience with other sites says that this is not true. The religious
dialogue here is a about the same or better than most internet
communities. The only place where there is more 'civility' are those
places that have moderation for atheists (that is, anyone who 'dares'
to question the assumptions that Christians makes has their posts
removed). Well, if Omnislash wants this (and I am not saying he
does), then he knows where to go.
If he wants dialogue, if he wants to explore the beliefs of other people,
if he wants to give people an opportunity to disagree, then he accepts
some risks: the risk that inconsiderate, stupid, or just plain mean people
will post. Some will post just to irritate.
That's the sacrifice on an internet community. Just a fact of life.
If he wants to content that 'no intelligent' conversation goes on, fine. But
I'm not going to sit here and pretend I agree. If he wants to stick his head
in the sand because all the mean antitheists say mean things, that's his
business. But for him to pull his head out, say 'no one says anything with
any intelligence,' and then stick his head back in, you can be damn sure I
am going to pipe up.
