It's the August just after Pearl Harbor. Truman has called us into session to discuss a plan to possibly drop the bomb of Japan. Which of these should we take? DO NOT USE EVENTS AFTER AUGUST 1950!
THREE POSSIBLE ARGUMENTS
1. Do not drop the bomb. Negotiate. Using the bomb will cause an arms buildup and will persuade others, such as the soviet union, to build up such arms. It's too dangerous, and our country's principles do not uphold such a crime.
2. Drop the bomb on an uninhabited island w/i Japan's view. Scare them into surrender. Then we can say, "Look what we had but did not use!" We would save the lives of hundreds of thousands of troops.
3. Drop it on the industrial city. We need to concentrate on Europe and Japan is too proud to surrender, it firmly believes in kamikazi and its superiority. End it NOW.
Which case is MOST appropriate? Which is the BEST choice for Truman to make? There are MANY variables you can argue for each case!

A. What happened to FDR?
B. How the US got the bomb a year after Pearl Harbour
C. Why not drop it on the Russians instead

It would have prevented them from swallowing up Eastern Europe and subjecting millions to death, jail, labor camps, starvation, torture and a decimation of spirit while being forced to live under a totalitarian regime.
