Common sense dictates that the majority of Muslims (encountered by Westerners in their various countries) are moderate and do not go about their business thinking non believers in their religion should be killed. Common sense further dictates this only applies to the small minority of extremists who have taken such sentiments out of context from the Quran for their own ends.

There is a group of teenagers who belong to a gang that engages in criminal activity - murder of people not in their gang, pedophilia, killing of gays and adulterers, and other abominable stuff. They have killed and abused people by the thousands. Obviously not all the people in this gang are guilty but they all abide by the same principles.
You would be a fool not a avoid all these gang members whether or not they are guilty.

The entitled a-holes in this country want to dictate who comes in, mainly by skin color and then by religion. There is a rather disgusting trend by conservatives, especially the Trumpublicans, to advocate tossing everyone who is not white and those who do not claim to be Christian. This is not what this country was founded on, and it is not what is represented in our founding documents.
