@wildgrass saidHis being a bliioinaire and following tax laws is bad because of....why? what?
I agree with you that entitlements need to be cut. Entitlements are Medicare, and social security. I also understand why taxpayers would be upset that a multi billionaire who does not pay taxes and was not elected gets to unilaterally make decisions about whose entitlements to cut.
Cliffs wife will be fine, but others will not.
What has that got to do with Trump bringing him on because of his brain power.
That is why Musk is doing somethign about waste, etc. Brains. Do you want to be the lib that says it is OK to have a smart businessman look into the mess left by the last administration and rectify it???
Break away from the socialist dependents and be somebody, WIldgrass.
@AverageJoe1 saidYou never read Lord of the Flies obviously.
Lord Flies is basically anarchy. I fully believe you want anarchy.
Federal Funds that Musk is finding being misspent are not being decided by congress, they re being willy nilly sent by the agencioes like USAID without congress' knowledge.....sent by their employees to people like the horrible Stacy Abrams to give to losers, green people , etc..
I spend all my time ...[text shortened]... s told stacy to send money to green people. She had free rein. you know it i know it we all know it.
You're misinformed; every cent Musk is whining about was authorized by Congress.
@wildgrass saidBecause he HASN'T been given that authority.
Do you understand why taxpayers would be upset that a multi billionaire who does not pay taxes, was not elected, and is not from America would be given the authority to unilaterally make decisions about whose entitlements to cut?
Why do you people lie like that?
@Cliff-Mashburn saidWhat the heck, Cliff. That wasn't the question.

Do you understand why people would be angry with an unelected bureaucrat saying he intends to come after entitlements?
@wildgrass saidThe problem is that is NOT what he has said.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidMAGA world can't keep it's story straight. I thought y'all wanted to cut spending. There are plenty of quotes and interviews, you just gotta get out your bubble. Theres a good reason why the informed are mad enough to burn Teslas.

Wasteful spending? Open to interpretation. Are you SURE you need that social security check? Musk thinks it's all a ponzi scheme.
Hey, remember that time when Elon lied about being the very "bestest" at an inane video game? And actual gamers called him out on it? And it turned out he paid someone to play the game for him so he can brag about it?
Kinda tells you all you need to know about the guy. Insecure enough to want approval, any kind of approval, regardless from whom. Unscrupulous enough to cheat for that approval. Dumb enough to think he won't get caught.
@wildgrass saidAh yes, Medicare and Social Security, two famously overfunded programs that need to be cut.

@Zahlanzi saidYes. They do need cuts. It's maybe arguable that social security is "solvent" but its a huge chunk out of every paycheck for 40 years. I want to opt out.

Medicare is an unsustainable slow moving train wreck. We've known it since the 90s. Clinton managed to slim it down but the idea was more reforms would be needed. Health care is so darn expensive. We just accept that reforms to cut costs are not feasible because the government lobbying groups are so well funded.
It eats up more and more of the share of tax revenue every year eventually it'll swallow everything.
@AverageJoe1 saidFunny how none of these Molotov cocktail throwers had a problem with Joe Blow Biden an went along with any of the hideous things he and the Dems did.
.Y'all know someone who knows someone who is making and throwing molotov cocktails at his cars. If you were devoting your time to helping me, I would not destroy your property. I would thank you. Do you defend the molotov person?
He saved our astronauts

What happens if you can't feed yourself in 30 years? or 20? or 40? should society leave you to die like a dog? Are you going to accept dying like a dog? Or maybe you will pick up a gun and rob someone?
"Medicare is an unsustainable slow moving train wreck"
Acording to whom? Compared to what. Medicare is vastly more efficient than paying a middle man to make a profit off of increased bureaucracy.
"Health care is so darn expensive"
Yeah it tends to be that way when you don't negotiate drug prices. Or when you pay an insurance company for the privilege of getting your claim denied. Or when you turn healthcare into a business.
Tell me, why can't everyone buy a Ferrari? Or Lamborghini? You all make the argument that healthcare being a business would mean healthy competition, free market magic, yet Ferraris don't drop in price. Almost as if selling a 100k or 200k or a million dollar car to one guy is more profitable than trying to sell one to everyone at a fraction of that cost. Which is fine and well for a luxury item. Is that what healthcare should be in your view? A luxury item? One chemo for one cancer patient and 10 or 100 other cancer patients left to die?
@Cliff-Mashburn saidYou yourself whined here that students are protesting the hideous things Netanyahu does in Gaza with Biden's help.

Sometimes it seems to me you have no respect for us and it hurts. If you did you would put a little more effort into these lies. Or you're too dumb to tell how weak your lying is?

I'm all for this negotiation thing.. Does it count as cutting Medicare?
I'm old enough to remember when cutting Medicare was championed by liberals and vilified by conservatives. Death panels?
