@wildgrass said“Should? Nah, the 50M people at the bottom have no money, thus the CAN'T pay taxes. What are you going to ask them for their fingernails?”
Should? Nah, the 50M people at the bottom have no money, thus the CAN'T pay taxes. What are you going to ask them for their fingernails?
You've brought up the 1% 50% numbers before, and I've noted many times that these numbers are fake. One of the richest people in the entire world is Mark Zuckerburg and his salary is only $1 per year. So he's not even represented in the ...[text shortened]... tatistics you keep bringing up about who pays taxes. Rich people don't pay taxes, earners pay taxes.
I said above that WE SHOULD TAKE CARE of the 50M.
I will let you off on that misread, I typed something wrong myself the other day it happens.
@wildgrass saidA rubbish example. You are obsessed with destroying the rich, and make excuses for the lazy bums in your community. Malicious envy is one of the characteristics of a lazy man. Rather than work towards making himself productive, he looks at what others have and wish them evil.
If two people are racing all-out towards a big-money prize, sprinting, flying, gritting, grinding, diving and dazing towards the finish line, both working as hard as they possibly can, with each one's competitive spirit buoying the performance of the other....
In the end one person wins. They get the Skittles. They did better than the other people who were competing in t ...[text shortened]... nd counterproductive, while contributing to wealth disparity.
Nothing to do with laziness at all.
@YEAH-BOY saidI trust my previous silence is now somewhat less mysterious. I chose to respond on this occasion out of courtesy, but your latest message has rather confirmed the wisdom of my customary discretion.
Don't put words in my mouth. I mentioned nothing about showing an ID to vote. Your famous for twisting peoples words So STFU. i replied to muuts saying trump want fair elections. Get it straight. By the way the save act is DEAD as it should be and don't tell me what to do.
Cheers.
@AverageJoe1 Rather than trying to pass multiple avenues to tax the uber rich, start by outlawing the use of investments as collateral to borrow money free from taxation. Increase the IRS budget so they can go after those hiding taxable money. I also believe Citizens United should be abolished. Corporations are not people and so should have no free speech rights. It would be a significant step towards getting dark money out of politics. Billionaires have the power to control nations. Muskrat is worth a trillion. He was born in South Africa and has both a U.S. and Canadian passport. His allegiance is to himself. I believe this is true of Trump too. Trump and his family have made billions since his second term began. Whatever you right wingers said about Hunter Biden looks ridiculous in comparison.
@Rajk999 saidWhich begs my question… Why are people so concerned with how much money other people have? Is of no effect on them. The only effect that it is to them is they want that person‘s money to pay their bills, pay for their sustenance.

And the overriding mystery is that the same people want socialism, which is the same thing. These losers should ask the UK citizen, ghost of a Duke , how things are going for him. Their socialist country is going bankrupt, sinking as we speak
@Phranny saidSpot on.

@AverageJoe1 saidMail-in ballots alone are going to bury you guys.
What do you think marauder is funny to say that he does not think people need to show a photo ID at a voting booth to prove who they are?
I don’t think that’s very funny at all.
Do you think that is funny.
You agree with him? It is time for you to stand up since you just jumped into this one.
@AverageJoe1 saidThis is usually the start of socialism and the end of the country.

Same thing happened in Cuba and Venezuela.
Laziness leads to
Poverty, which leads to
Malicious envy of the rich.
Then comes a change to socialism
Then the end of the country.
@Rajk999 saidY'all use pretty hyperbolic terms here. Joe said taxes are punishment. You say that taxes destroy people. You way overstate things.
A rubbish example. You are obsessed with destroying the rich, and make excuses for the lazy bums in your community. Malicious envy is one of the characteristics of a lazy man. Rather than work towards making himself productive, he looks at what others have and wish them evil.
Taxes don't punish or destroy. It isn't malicious to have the opinion that people should pay taxes, since the rest of us do that. It's not envious of their lifestyle either. I like my life. But the government is underwater and can't pay the bills and the middle class folks see 25% of their earned money coming straight out of their paycheck every week, going to Uncle Sam and thinking "hey, why isn't that guy ALSO paying taxes?"
@Rajk999 saidTaxation and socialism are entirely different concepts. It's not even close.
This is usually the start of socialism and the end of the country.

1. This will upset you, liberals, but you simply need to emphasize the importance of work, initiative, and personal responsibility. Tough one I know..
2. Are you saying the objective is to give everyone a better opportunity to prosper, or are you saying to make successful people less successful because they have more stuff? i'm killing you here.
3. You pitiful socialists, (by the way, I'm not writing to RajkJ999, god forbid) .,.... you pitiful socialists want to redistribute existing wealth, or do you want to create more wealth? Another tough one.
4. And answer this… What safeguards are going to prevent an expanding government from becoming so powerful that the citizens lose many economic choices and political control and, may I mention, incentive, innovation, and prosperity.? another tough one, I know.
This is really not tough for libs though.... because you do not think. Because you do not plan. You want what you want, and you want it now. **And you want it from people who have it. I guess this is another tough one if you think about it.
tough stuff. Libs want easy.stuff. You believe, but you WILL NOT SAY, that you are entitled to the labor of others.
Pitiful.
** From OTHER PEOPLE!!!! Get your own stuff. Not the labor of others. WHew.
@beardmusic saidVenezuela, a capitalist country in the 80s and 90s, the richest South American nation. The hard working were the middle class and the upper class. Lots of expats running the oil industry. The poor either refused to work or had little or no employable skills. Converted to socialism under Chavez in 2000. Apparently the people were promised that money would be taken from the rich and given to them.
@Rajk999
I'd love for you to provide an actual example of this neat little 'morality tale' occuring in reality...
@Rajk999 saidYou're partially right and mostly wrong.

The poor either refused to work or had little or no employable skills. Converted to socialism under Chavez in 2000. Venezuela relied too heavily on oil to fund its economy. When oil prices dropped, this cause government setbacks.
That combined with Chavez becoming increasingly authoritarian and reducing checks on his power, which is the opposite of socialism (controlling resources as a whole with the people).
@wildgrass saidThe democrat party was on a deathbed before Trump inspired them to recover. Don't you see how you all are being manipulated? People hated Biden policies so they turned to Trump. Now people hate Trump so they will vote democrat again. Then a democrat president pushes policies that benefit the rich at the expense of the poor and people hate it enough to vote republican again. The elites screw us over with one party then the other.
My ballot always has a line for a write-in candidate.
I'm in favor of adding new political parties though. The more the merrier. It appears that the GOP is on its deathbed, maybe we can get a real conservative party to replace it.
People are under an illusion that they only have 2 choices. Because the corporate news media only gives attention to 2 parties. Whip you with one, then the other. They can do that over and over again forever. Can you?
