Furthermore, the government gives deductions because it wants to encourage certain activities that has value to the government. Maybe instead of complaining you should do those things. We'd all be better off.

Bezos is not accused of breaking the law. He either did not have realized income or has legal deductions that the government felt had as much benefit to them as the taxes. If he purchased anything he paid sales taxes and other taxes.
If the US had more guys like Bezos we'd be a lot better off.

It makes no sense for the government to give away hundreds of billions of our tax dollars to fat cat corporations in the Fortune 500 in the form of subsidies, grants and other corporate welfare goodies while small and medium size business's struggle to make it on their own. At least forgiving student debt helps people who really need it -
