It already DID happen, Joe. This new statement by Trump is just laying the groundwork for government to take over more business, the business of AI, just like he already did with US Steel, Intel, Vulcan Elements (this is the company where Don Jr. is part owner and just received a $620 million military contract).

And on and on. There are only downsides to this policy. It seems like socialism to me, lots of folks are calling it that.

Trump administration officials have made it clear that more deals are forthcoming. Potential targets include defense contractors, quantum-computing companies, and, according to Reuters, “deals across up to 30 industries, involving dozens of companies deemed critical to national or economic security.”

If it seems like the administration is making it up as they go, it’s because it is. The director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Bill Pulte, recently stated that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the federally backed housing finance entities his agency oversees while in government conservatorship!) are considering equity stakes in technology companies. That isn’t just a bad idea, it’s downright bonkers.

In a nutshell, given only what you have written as my source, I am 100% against it.
I think no one should receive anything unless they have earned it or if they’re totally destitute in our country has agreed to take care of them. There’s no middle ground, losers are losers and just can stay lost if they don’t do not want to be self reliant. you must know some dependents, and that is why you are liberal, it has a good feel to it.😆. What do you think of these dependents. ?

None of what you wrote has anything to do with the issue.

He's not handing out government money, he's using government money to purchase ownership stakes in private companies and negotiating his own decision making authority over corporate leadership.

Why do you keep inserting "ifs" into your statements condemning the behavior? He's doing it and bragging about doing it and promising to keep doing a lot more of it.
