Nothing the Ukraine or West did compelled Putin to order the invasion of his neighbor. That was his choice.
I'd like to see negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to end the war but Trump putting our nation's weight behind Russia's demands is hardly likely to make that more possible. As long as Russia continues to press its offensives, I see little choice but to continue to aid Ukraine, militarily and economically.
