@shavixmir saidMott says anytime now!!!!
So, this massive US army you refer to… it’s stepped up to the base and is doing something? Like it did with Crimea?
Mhmmm?
PS: Sorry to put Scotland in my comment above, I just pictured a beautiful tranquil country and that one popped up.
@averagejoe1 saidYou just said the world calls on America to defend it. Ukraine called, America explicitly said they won't help Ukraine.
Are you now saying the USA needs to enter and defend Ukraine?
So there goes that superhero image you have of the U.S.
@vivify saidTo say super hero is to suggest we are going to the rescue, willy nilly. Doesn't happen that way. You are suggesting that we should go save Ukraine as if it is a simple decision....to close air space, resulting in all-out war when a Russian plane is in that space and is shot down.

So diplomatic decisions AND military decisions have to agree with each other. USA is working on it, (the administration haha), it takes time?
You are a bit naive with your post.

You have that image. Not me.
Your reading comprehension is garbage.
@averagejoe1 saidDuring times of crises, any and all advice ls appreciated,
Would we be better served if Trump visited with the Administration (Not necessarily wasting time with the person of Biden) and came up with some ideas?
Yes. I often ask that question. Hell, he is so smart that we can just let the administration have their own original ideas, and then let trump Show Them How To Implement the ideas!!!! What is wrong with that? ...[text shortened]... nto shape, knows how to get the attention of all the countries, lets us put HIS boots on the ground.
by any and all previous administrations and allies.
G.W. BUSH has offered advice, BARACK OBAMA has offered advice, and even Mitt Romney.
TRUMP HAS OFFERED NO ADVICE

Make America Great.......WHAT A MOCKERY HE PUTS TO THESE WORDS
@vivify saidPlease don't drift and mis-state. YOU said 'there goes that super-hero image you have'. You imply here that I said that. I don't have a superhero image, I DO have a tangible knowledge, not image, of how great our military is.
"There goes that superhero image YOU have".

I did not say that. Be a good debater.,
@jimm619 saidIndeed. I wonder what the deal is with that? He should at least give us his ideas, good or bad. Perhaps he is not perfect like the plagiarizing grifter Joe Biden. Have you seen his list of lies?

@vivify saidNot when the Repussian party has anything to say about it, at least.
Yup. And the US will not land one boot on the ground to help.
"He's a genius" - and they're still licking his boot-soles.
@shallow-blue saidHey Shallow, you left a thread question unanswered last week!

@athousandyoung saidHad Obama brought the troops back right after, then it would've been a success. The failure is the lives lost and trillions spent afterward trying conquer the Taliban.
We didn’t fail in Afghanistan we got bin Laden
@vivify saidThe nation building effort was stupid in retrospect but I don’t think it was an entirely cynical exercise. It just cannot be done off the back of an occupying force viewed as the enemy by the very people whose mindset you are hoping to change.

Lesson learned hopefully
@kevcvs57 saidWhat makes this particularly bad is the fact that the Taliban offered up Bin-Laden back when Bush was in office, in exchange for the U.S. ceasing their attack. Bush declined that offer because "we don't negotiate with terrorists"....even when the terrorists are giving you the exact thing you are seeking.

Afghanistan is a colossal failure, a tragic waste of human lives, and a monumental waste of time and money.
