I've been messed about...I won't bore you with the details, but I need to get hold of two DS Lites, ideally in Claret & Black, but plain black if not, and I need them in time for Christmas (of course).
I'm in the UK, can anyone recommend a source that won't rip me off, but more importantly, has them in stock right now?
(yes, I'm looking on ebay, but from the 'States or Hong Kong gives me no confidence in a timely delivery.....)
Here is a plan which is a little underhanded but would solve your problem on a temporary basis.
Go to a shop and steal some display boxes (a victimless crime really - they would have been thrown out anyway) for these consoles and then gift wrap them like you have got them specially.
When it comes to the day, and the boxes are discovered to be empty you can get mad and start ranting about how you will be streight down to those shops to give them a piece of yor mind as soon as they open. In the meantime, the rush will have ended and the sellers who have missed out on shifting the last of their stock will now be dropping their prices on ebay - you can then pick one up for a much lower price and have it delivered. The delivery could be explained by the shop being out of stock and they had to ship it specially from japan.

In the end, I got lots of re-assurance from a US source delivering the red&claret flavour (sorry, flavor) via UPS at £120ea with shipping....
Kids are made up they aren't the usual black/white/pink, so Daddy Dun Good. 🙂
(though Daddy is currently chewing his toenails that they arrive by Wednesday as promised)
