I have had two skulls in my games folder for several days. I wish they'd go away, they are too tempting.
About six months ago I tried to reach the giddy heights of 1700 quickly - I slowed down my losing games and raced into my winning games.
I was appalled when the one guy I was whipping (who at the time was many points ahead of me), kind of gave up playing and started to lose all his games - I was so annoyed that he was holding out against me (as I had him in an obvious win in both games we were playing), whilst losing left right and centre and dropping his rating all the time.
I hit 1696 before all the inevitable delayed losses hit me - shortly afterwards I lost faith in chess and retreated to a small box under my bed.
I am now returning, and - after a blip (due to giving up nicotine - 108 days so far and counting) - I will conquer the heights of 1700 - but not through skull bashing!
Remember - What goes around, comes around (whatever that means).
Keep the skulls - In fact lets start a competition to see who has the oldest skulls - there's got to be kudos in that!

...i am doomed to miss the white light....there is no bad karma for me...
i cannot resist taking the skulls...my rating is just above idiocy so i don't
take skulls for the points...i alsways message when the little rectangle appears and if they still do not move then bye...

For the very few people whom I won't skull I move their games to a folder I named NoSkull. Brilliant of me, eh? That's where I put the games of people on vacation with a return date or people I won't skull (like my clan leader -- bad form!). Otherwise, skulls are just begging me to put them out of their misery! Really! The talk to me! Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeader! Come heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeader.
