I think retirement in general breeds contentment but I might be wrong. Of course it's you're financially stable that is.

Yes, and maturity comes with experience and I believe I have had lots of that. So in a way this is a good age but oh, how quickly the years have passed. 🙂 You have the best time in front of you, Drew.

Voluntary retirement is usually a good time, still many good years to come.

I worked in the public sector for 27 years. They provided a Retirement study day for people planning to retire. Some very useful points were discussed. Having an interest / hobby to retire to was important for me to maintain my stable mental health.

You are correct on that one my old friend. Of course having a few dollars tucked away doesn't hurt especially in these economic times.
