Why can't I stop making stupid moves?

haven't been able to meet the deadline with the money we've already
received, and I realised I blinked.
Never, ever, blink during negotiation. It's a sign of weakness. So, there I
was, suddenly painfully aware that I had blinked, and I couldn't stop. I
just kept blinking my eyes. And my mind got so distracted by this that I
find myself sitting there, trying to stop but unable to. My mouth
dumbopen (I'm not sure, but I think drool were making way across my
lower lip) and my eyes blinking and my hands trying to divert attention
by grabbing a glass of water (another sign of weakness). For 15 some
seconds this went on, until I finally came to my senses and responded
properly.
That meeting was no success. I think I was too tired and too unprepared.
Well, duh, that's what it was. Same with your chess. Don't play when
you're tired, and prepare yourself for as many eventualities as possible.
This is correspondence chess after all. You can take all the time
you need (well, if you choose your timebanks according to your ability
and available free time, that is).

stocken did something very different, more like 'ernest goes to camp' blinking. 🙂

Did anyone see Bush's last State of the Union Address? As usual it was a complete non-event. What I did find interesting though, was the number of times that Nancy Pelosi blinked during the speech.
Check it out. This is kind of entertaining.
