And you know this, how?
Propoganda is america's greatest allie at the moment. Also, if they can get the iraqi's fighting amongst themselves, then maybe they won't be so intent on killing the poor american and british soldiers.

It's interesting how so many people decide that anyone that doesn't agree with them is being brain-washed. Funnily enough, many of those come out with the most surreal conspiracy theories. Go figure.

Propaganda is not a process of forced indoctrination. It is much more subtle than that. It's not even that the media do it on purpose. They are dropped a bit of information here, sent a photo there, allowed to interview the right person at the right time. They are also in the business of selling you news. Are you going to buy news showing bits of an Iraqi child's body while you're munching your evening meal. No, they sell the news you want to see and hear. There are cultural reasons too why the news is going to be biased.
In my view, the news is worth watching but you should always remember that it probably isn't 100% correct and often doesn't make the slightest bit of sense.

As for the rest, I never said otherwise. Just that there's propaganda from both sides. For example, here it's more likely that gruesome details from Iraq are shown than any positive aspects of the intervention.
News services here are the quite unlike Fox, since most of their clients are AGAINST the war on Iraq. I'm against the intervention myself, but that doesn't mean that I defend all types of criticism of the intervention.

I'm curious why you single me out, when I start contributing to the thread on page 5. 4 previous pages of clear debate.

If you find this thread not light enough, then don't read it. It really is quite simple. Alternatively, you could respond to the original poster with some Wiz ...[text shortened]... the death of a human being whom he has never met, and has absolutely no idea what he did.

Are we to assume that you have met 'Mr. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi'. Was he your Sunday school teacher? If he is a friend of yours please except my deepest heartfelt sympathy for the death of such a witch as he. The beheading and kidnapping that he administered on video I am sure must have had your blessings. I have an idea that you might wish to replace him with your fine kick boxing skills. I hear the position is still open if you hurry.
Though I am no supporter of this war. And I am not a supporter of 'George W. Bush.' I am a supporter of the removal whether it had come from arrest or death of 'Mr. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi'.
As for my political beliefs. I find them not always much different than your own in many cases. As for Americans being in Iraq. I want them out, and never wanted them in. But, they are there now and I wish America and their allies success. And ultimately Iraq and the rest of the world success as a result.
Mr, Ragnorak, if you choose to hate all Americans because of your narrow minded view of each one as a whole. So be it. Just don't be surprised if your hated spreads like a cancer that causes hatred to you right back and causes you unnecessary grief and destruction.
P.S. In the case of 'Mr. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi' I feel that the only good Martyr is a dead Martyr. And this is coming from one who opposes the death penalty. I never rejoice in the death of anyone. But I do rejoice in the fact he can no longer behead any one else.
Maybe if it had not have been for the war it might have been a pleasure to drink a beer and go fishing with 'Mr. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi'. But somehow, I really, really doubt that.

Cant believe this thread has got so many responses considering all the others that are going ,on the same subject
Those other thread posters come over to our thread, take our jobs and our women and now it's not even possible to call them lazy, no good thread posters any more without the PC brigade on your back. Gone are the days when you could be proud to be a poster in this thread, the days when we all used to get together and hold hands whilst posting in this thread. No, the liberals have got us all apologising for loving our great thread. I don't know what the forums are coming to.

Do you believe that if you decide someone should receive the death penalty then it is acceptable to fire missiles at peoples homes until you get one with him in it?
If you do believe this, do you believe it would be an acceptable way to achieve the same thing in your own country?
