..there should be a political forum...in order to keep the peace in the general forum..which is generally for social or the inane...let us leave politics, religion and sports to their own forums so we can avoid them and
just play chess and banter about...😀😉😛😕😳🙁:'(😏

I wouldn't be too inclined to accept this at face value - it could have been in any middle-eastern country, not just Iraq, and we never see more of the person holding the bottle than a brief glimpse of helmet - maybe it was staged to make American troops look bad?

That boy, he be the next "Bruce Jenner" of Iraqi Olympic team in 2014 summer games...maybe he thought bottle contained remnants of mohammed piss.....? Croatian kids run only for "puta", not bottled piss...

The whole thing is, it wasn't supposed to be this way. Most of us voted to send the really nice army guys with big guns--not the mean ones.

He probably didn't know what he might get from the soldiers. I am sure soldiers give out all kinds of stuff. The kid learned from the good troops and his learning was being abused by these jerkoffs.

The accents are definitely American and I've met way too many Americans who would pull this crap. Are you that sure that American troops are so respectful of Iraqis and disciplined that they wouldn't do something like this?

Yes but after a couple of blocks you would think he would be bright enough to know when someone was effing with him. If that soldier had been in my squad I would have squared him away real quick. it was uncalled for what he did.

I think our military should be far more professional and disciplined than that, especially since one of our few weaknesses is how we inspire hate in others with our arrogance. That hate is what creates suicide bombers.

When people in other countries think back about what American troops were like, they should remember brutally effective, highly professional soldiers who have been trained not to create resentment in any innocent natives.

It's certainly not the end of the world...just a mean joke. It's nothing compared to say murdering people and covering it up. It's still not good though.
