Quick question - no offence - How well do Aussies and Kiwis get on for the rest of the year?

It's not a day of debate for young pacifists, it's not day of old men marching for lost causes, its a day of united hope for young and old.
The rest of the year under the spitting, gouging and psych... we're mates, cussies across the ditch, we drink ships loads of beer, eat savs and meat pies, tell lies and hate pommie smart ar'ses all the year round 😛

Where is our EU celebration day? I want an extra day off...!
Originally posted by AikoAnzac Day is highly respected in Turkey, which was the land invaded by the Anzac invasionary force lead by the British. There were so many errors in the invasion.. so many died of bullet and ill health. After the campaign was lost; our respective govt's ensured that NZ & Aus troops would in all future campaigns, be lead by their own officers.

The Turkish soldiers who repelled the attack was greatly admired and honoured.
Anzac Cove is today a memorial site which has become a pilrimage for anzac families..
In addition to the honouring of the dead comes the sombre question of why war? The whole saga is seen as a reminder to all our young; not to blindly sign up for foreign campaigns as if war were boys own adventure book. But none here allow that to over shadow the remembrance of the fallen.
We are guilty of forgetting the French, Indians and the New Foundland contingents
