Anzac Day is highly respected in Turkey, which was the land invaded by the Anzac invasionary force lead by the British. There were so many errors in the invasion.. so many died of bullet and ill health. After the campaign was lost; our respective govt's ensured that NZ & Aus troops would in all future campaigns, be lead by their own officers.
