It's alright, it wasn't specifically directed at me, just everyone who uses books in general. The whole thread is quite funny actually, things just wouldn't sink in no matter how many times they were explained. 😀

Oh, I see, you are in the same clan as TragicBrain. 😉 Actually he did have a post or several removed because of a che@ing accusation. I don't think general accusations like "anyone who uses books is a che@er" usually get removed (unless, of course, they contain the wrong words and get robomodded).

Using books and game notes are acceptable for correspondence chess, and have been so, for as long as it has been played. Databases are another acceptable tool for correspondence chess. It sounds like you are hanging with some real brains there Ian old buddy. 😉
