Originally posted by Patrick97Well that's a really small simple one that I killed a lot of time with back in the day. For long adventure games it's King's Quest V. Tank Wars is easy to find a version of to download, but I recommend getting a DOS emulator if you're using anything above Windows 98. A good one is DOS Box. Oh yeah, the original versions of Warcraft were good fun too.
Thank you st00p1dfac3 .
I always preferred arcade games and games with puzzle elements. I'd say ZZT was one of my favorites. Terrible ASCII graphics, but great game play. I also liked the Commander Keen series.
Edit - You can still find ZZT and its many addon games on abandonware sites. Also, the shareware versions of CK can be found there.
Originally posted by Patrick97I also tried Dosbox and Dfend on a few games. (Haven't used it extensively, though.) I did get one of the Commander Keen games to work with a joystick in Dosbox, so I know it's possible.
Dosbox with Dfend work very well - what is the trick to get games working by joystick?
Edit - In the Profile Editor, did you pick the joystick type under the Bios tab?
