If the movie is not better the sixth time you see it than it was the first and second, then it has no place in this thread.

you ever thought they make movies outside english speaking countries or japan or france? 🙂
I have no love for Felini - I just don't get his movies - he's like the Italian David Lynch I guess (though I do like David Lynch).

I've seen some good movies from Iran but nothing good enough to make my favorites list. I still have yet to get around seeing the Indian director Sajit Ray's films though I hear the 'Apu Trilogy' is quite good.

Ingmar Bergman was Sweedish and was an amazing director. 'The Seventh Seal' was fantastic.

I get bored quickly watching the sort of swill that takes home most of the Oscars, but such films as like Godfather I and II, Apocalypse Now, Battleship Potemkin, Rashomon, The Searchers, Citizen Kane, grow better with repeated screenings.

eh, well, shrug 🙂 of course I could complain that there probably has been at least ten masterpieces made every country but that would be kinda dull, wouldn't it? so why Aki & Mika Kaurimsäki "Arvottomat" 😀
"That's a joke... I say, that's a joke, son". 😀 Foghorn Leghorn, maaaan!
