Predator II is the best movie ever -- it beats the crap out of art house favs like the "Seventh Seal" because at least 200 people get killed by the Predator in this one.

Best Filmaker =

If you take an entire career into account then I'd say Stanley Kubrick fillowed by Akira Kurosawa. Both consistantly made some of the greatest films ever made. As for current/active directors I think Michael Mann is fantastic because he can blend art and pop better than any director currently working ('The Insider', 'Thief', 'Heat', 'Ali'😉. Peter Weir and Terrance Mallick are also insanly brilliant.
