Thanks for clearing that up. Apparently not all those functions will work on all cell phones. Drat!

interesting, but how about the really interesting secret stuff? did you know that if you stranded on a remote tropical uninhabited island, take your phone apart, connect the aerial to the negative terminal, go contacts/ search/ and rub the battery against your left kidney (or, in the southern hemisphere, your right kidney) , then point it at a passing satellite, press **627, say "hello, may i have mr g. knee please"
and a genie will appear to grant you three wishes

Yes, usually it is a good idea to check snopes when you receive information like this. 🙂

I did think that opening car doors remotely via a cell phone was unlikely though. 😕

Amazing, isn't it? Not a single one of them works in Japan...

But we've got phones here you can watch live TV on (all 12 channels terrestrial here in Osaka), surf the internet, send and receive real e-mail, play movies, radio, games AND EVEN call people and talk to them!!!

Even if your cell is turned off. But thanks for the stuff Arrakis. Some of us finds it useful.

Seemed quite feasible to me - mind you I've seen my pals parrot squawk and set off his car alarm.
And it can change channels on the telly too.

Remarkable bird - the Norwegian Blue. 😲

Almost none of them work on any cell phones, it's all urban legend BS.

It only works for people who can read and / or follow links in posts.

Hey, give Error-kissed a break. He's just a mind-numbed robot of the Mother Ship. After all, he hates Bush so that makes whatever he says OK. Right?

Ol' backward and disgusting Jeb.
