Get a peppermill, buy whole black peppercorns, grind your own, you'll never go back. There's a big world of various pungent peppers out there to enjoy.

Good advice.

Pepper also apparently stimulates the production of stomach acid, aiding digestion and, some say, reducing flatulance.

Black pepper is not really hot when you compare it to habanero peppers used by most eastern and south american cultures. But it is very tasty. If you want to get the black pepper taste alone without the 'heat' try using the whole black peppercorns. When cooked they release the flavour but not the heat .. but dont bite them.
I like alot of black pepper on most everything. Here in the US Southwest, jalapenos and chipotles are king. Habeneros are crazy hot. 😕

I guess I'm the exception that proves the rule..... 🙁

I can recommend pepper vodka as well. Get a bottle of decent vodka, and add a handful of black peppercorns. Leave it for a week or so. Drink very cold - you get some of the heat of the pepper and the contrast works very well.

I never use salt…only pepper, lots of it. My boss said it’s what keeps my hair from turning grey. I don’t know if that’s true or not.

i have my doubts - i like lots of pepper and my hair has slowly been going gray since i was about 21 🙁

although i do like lots of salt too, so it could mean that salt makes you go gray 😕

I like to pan roast, and then crack them with an old flatiron.
