I agree. The game should've been a draw, but when he tried to capture inpassant and it wouldn't work he was lost.
EDIT: He says, attempting to wind up two stronger players 😛
I've not read the whole thread so apols if re-posting anothers ideas:
It'd be great to be able to add anote to a game invite - e.g. to pick on RB Moz's point about chat etiquette, to indicate if the game offerer is chat friendly or not.
It'd also be great to be able to throw a challenge directly to a player idling in the waiting room by double clicking on their name. They could choose to accept, reject or bounce the settings (time / colour).
Edit - also - how about allowing folk to view live games of other players - again by double clicking on a board icon. I appreciate there'd be chat implications here - can the viewer view / contribute to the chat session? Could this be optional?

You probably shouldn't leave for vacation in the middle of a blitz game.
That's just poor planning.
Back to thread.... I find 1/0 games unfathomable - where's the fun in them - it's not so much of good play, about who can move their pieces the quickest. Maybe it's different to see two good players at it?
I think 1/10 is nice though.

Edit - would it make sense for the PGN to show the time controls the game was played at? The above was 2/8.

I'm 1500 blitz and 1650 slow, and I play on PC - not ICC, although I want to switch.
So no, my rating isn't vastly different anywhere.
[b]Statistics for MickMouse2000 On for: 13 Idle: 0
rating [need] win loss draw total best
Blitz 2107 [1] 5 0 2 7[b]
There is an FM rated in the 2100s and there are fewer players than PlayChess.com
Originally posted by z00tMy rating for 20 min games on ICC is about the same as it is here. Blitz is much lower though.

Playing 1 / 20 resulted in both players building up 3 mins quickly (although that game ended through disconnection).
It's interesting to think of the psychology of certain time controls:
1/10 is effectively the same as 2/8 over 30 moves, but would probably be viewed as different conditions to different players.
