I didn't want to get too far into it, since a lot of the manufacturers give things their own fancy name. It also soundd like Arrakis was being very security conscious, so I didn't want to advise opening the port for both protocols... but, yeah - that's what I was saying. Usually they list it as a range, but you can set the trigger port, as well as the start and end ports in the range (on most routers I've met) as the same port.
yep, I know. I just thought I'd try to make it clearer, as even though arrakis already got it, there might be others facing the same problem. and even though it might all sound a bit confusing, it's really simple once you've done it the first time.

I had something odd happen yesterday (I can play again). I was ahead on time in one of my games and my opponent just quit moving. I sat and watched his flag count down to 0:00, but then the screen wouldn't continue. I waited and waited but the time was not called and the screen wouldn't change. Odd thing, I thought, if I hit 'exit' then I lose this.

Had t ...[text shortened]... nyways though to get out of it. When I did my opponent had also exited (probably before me).
Thats happened me as well. It used to happen on uchess in the beginning quite a lot, but seemed to have been fixed then.

i get the same thing, halfway through a game my opp stops moving, I'm guessing we got disconnected from each other during the game and are unable to reconnect, maybe you could add a button to test the connection to see if your opponent is thinking a long time or is no longer there.

Well, anytime an opponent disconnects he/she should forfeit a speed game.

I'll ignore that. It's a shame that some people feel so inferior that they have to belittle others. Meet me in the Blitz game and I'll show you that you aren't as smart as you think you are. 🙂

I don't know what you read into it, but it sure wasn't anything I wrote.

I think the blitz game is a huge success here. I'd really like to see some blitz ratings though so I can start showing off. 🙂

Edit: I have a list of people that I want to trounce, but I want it on record how bad I can beat these people. For example, I know I can take most "experts" 4 out of 6 here. Ya-know why? Cause they rely on their databases to play.

I know I can take one poor 1900 CC rated player and beat him in every game I play against him...

You can still export the games in PGN format and paste them here (future games, of course. Nothing you can do about games that have already been played).

Playing Marinkatomb a moment ago, I was about to type a message and corrected a typo, then pressed "carriage return" in the message window in the middle of the string of text. This deleted half the text, posted no chat message, and the game hung at that point - clock timed down to zero.

Possibe bug?

The other day I tipped over a chess board too, if you know what I mean. 😉
