It's a little dinky clock radio for god's sake....I don't care how good it sounds. Seems like for $500 you could get a helluva lot more if you shopped around.

So let me get this straight...

You say you don't care how good a stereo sounds.

What the hell would you buy a stereo for then...just for how it looks? Like some kind of art piece that also plays music?

Yes, perhaps I expressed myself poorly, obviously, sound is what it's all about.

My daughter and son-in-law bought one of those ultra-expensive clock radios and shipped it right back. That $500 price tag does not deliver a $500 sound.

The Sphintrometer XL is also a must have for any audiophile. The new ones (with deep pulsing action) are vastly superior to earlier models.

I'm not real crazy about the Wave look either. We went with one of the 3-2-1 entertainment systems. A much nicer and sleeker look.
