Are we in the throes of recreating the 1980s this decade?
So little is cool these days. The 60s were cool, the 70s cool (less so) the 90s were cool, but the 80s remembered for some grim fashions and shocking music.
Maybe some of you saw some of the nostalgic reviews of years and decades past on British TV, like Channel 5's top 50 embarrassing moments of the 80s.
At this rate, come 2020 we'll be making shows lamenting at how appalling tastes were in the 00s.
Simon Cowell said something about expanding The X Factor to incorporate more range of acts. Reminded me immediately of Opportunity Knocks, remember that?
I hope the Olympics more generally has a little more style.

Throw away bands, one hit wonders, stupid movies about stupid people doing stupid things....remind you of another decade??? Like maybe the 80's only with a mean streak? Hell, we even saw the return of Star Search sans Ed McMann (american idol)
