there was a bunch of finnish singers named after popes in the 70's, and gregorius was another swing at the same ol' dead horse.

so it actually is a spin off.


the studio band has quite a line-up, although it might be hard to imagine from this bit. 🙂 the base player is pekka pohjola, who played with mike oldfield and made quite a lot of incredible instrumental progressive rock albums, like this one:
