I saw a guy that had the same happen to his laptop - he had been surfing the warez sites for freebies and got landed with some script or something, he said. I'm not too sure how he fixed it but you could[to see if it stops it from happening] try disabling or at least modifying Active X - that's if you are using Internet Explorer. If you using Firefox it won't be that, obviously.
There are some pranks around that can be used to make the cd tray open and close - has anyone else had access to your computer?
Also, there's a chance it could be virus related. I would initially do an online scan just in case.

Try to figure out where t ´s commin from.
1st:
start up in safe mode or run straight into the bios.
Is it still opening ? if yes, there are probably more difficulties than that piece of software-scrap ( decide on your own, MS or NAV .. )
nothing´s happenin anymore ?
then turn over to the 2nd step:
be sure nothing else is using the driver\interface\aspi or requesting input whilst nothing to give´s avaiable.
open up devicemanager and uninstall the (usually) 2ndary IDE Controller (expand IDE ATA ATAPI Controller ) , restart/reboot ( call it like you want to do ) and have a go. The driver should be installed without any interaction.
