Probably not much help, but I found the cheapest way from [b]Ireland to Egypt was via Frankfurt with Lufthansa for both legs.

And I must add that Lufthansa provided some of the best service I've gotten in flight. Only Cathay Pacific rivals it out of all the airlines I've used.
