I was going to go see Eragon tomorrow, but maybe I'll see this one instead.

I heard Eragon was pretty weak but I have not seen it either. 'Children of Men' is quite unlike any film I've seen in a long time. I guess technicaly it is a sci-fi but the futuristic setting is only a way to comment on today's society in the same way the new 'Battlestar Galactica' does.

BTW: There is a MAJOR Pink Floyd reference near the halfway point of the film (grab your copy of 'Animals' and you'll see what I mean).

I did go and watch this movie. It was interesting and exciting. One of the best parts was the tribute to the Pink Floyd's Animals recording.

I agree absolutely 😕 However, why didn't we see any other obviously terminal cases of wanton debauchery?

You know what I mean? 😛 Before he's finally getting all flaky and degenerate. Somebody else?

So that it doesn't seem like his just desserts are a one-of kind of plot device for the puritans in the audience????

In my own humble experience puritans are defined by their complete lack of imagination 😞

I can only imagine what a puritan would imagine. 🙄
