As an aside, 15 years ago or so, we were property hunting in Hackney (long story) and out of necessity, due to the early hour, spent an hour in a small McDonalds. That is the one occasion we drunk a decent cup of coffee in that establishment.
We had taken it in ourselves in a thermos.
True story.

Each country/region must have different coffee standards because over here McDonald's bought a very popular coffee brand from a coffee chain and in the deal only McDonald's was allowed to have that coffee so I imagine your coffee over there at McDonald's is a crap version and not what we have here.

Remember McDonald's is world wide even have them in China! I believe Germany have the biggest McDonald's in the world! Yes I would have thought China too! 😉
