Blackadder would have to be the best. I think perhaps series 3 was my favourite.

Serie III is indeed the best, then IV, then II, and I on last. But still better then your average comedy show 🙂

I can't believe I left out Fawlty Towers in my list... That's really brilliant!

Fawlty Towers was splendid as well, and I love much of Red Dwarf, excluding anything after series 6 of course.

I like Q.I., Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Mock The Week, Have I Got News For You, Deadringers, Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Father Ted, The Now Show (radio, I often miss it though), Celebrity Death Match, Comedy Store, and a few others.

Interesting... Not one single reply from anyone who lives in the US!
That's probably because they show way too many commercials for anyone to try to watch comedy here. They show about 20 minutes of commercials out of every hour.

Yeah, it's bad, so bad that they'll take a standard movie and either break it into two sections for different days, or make it run 3-4 hours.

Simple solution... buy what you like on DVD 😉. No more commercials... double the fun (with extra's and all). I got all my favorits on disc by now 🙂.
