Just deleted it but it made no difference. What and where can I download a real good program for getting rid of this stuff. I currently have Ad-Aware SE.
go to www.microsoft.com and click on Microsoft Antispyware (beta). it's free and can't hurt.

go to www.download.com and search for cwshredder or coolwebsearch.

Scanning for the file spoolsv.exe now, so far three files found. All in the C:\WINDOWS\ ect.

Still don't know what that means though 🙁

There is a trojan that names itself as spoolsv.exe, I think it copies itself to WINDOWS directory, but not sure.

Would it cause my CPU to be running at 100%? Because nothing else is running. I don't get why it's doing this.

spoolsv should be in the c:\windows\system32 folder, if you find it anywhere else, then its the either one of the following trojans/viruses
1. Backdoor.Ciadoor.B
2. VBS.Masscal.Worm (vbs)
3. Hacktool.Privshell
you could shut down the print spooler service to find out, but., that would mean going places you might want to go..

If I were my dumbass computer teacher, I'd tell you to delete everything off your desktop because that slows it down. I'd also delete all your temporary internet files because that folder get so many that it slows it to a crawl.

(Don't do that it was a joke about my computer teacher)
