@trev33 saidBest part, and only part of your post. worth replying to.
A lot of pettiness going on, not sure if the ham sandwiches story was true or the bbc just trying to push its Anti brexit stance though.
Fully agree.

@trev33 saidI thought he was very good as the lead of Marillion, actually, though tended to carry a little weight.
some rotten Scottish fish?
@divegeester saidHas it ever occurred to you that maybe you were being a twat? I know other people who supported brexit who I'm still on good terms with. Maybe they got less involved and didn't throw insults around.
I seem to remember you calling me a “twat” just before you unfriended me on Facebook.
Yes the Remainer mindset is one of bitter losership. A mindset that clings to any media negativity like a drowning man clings to a lifesaver. It’s pathetic.
@divegeester saidWhat about the people who retired or wanted to after the pandemic in Spain or other parts of Europe? Had to check this as wasn't sure, only 3 months they're allowed to stay in any EU country within a 6 months period, hell you can stay in most S. American countries for 6 months of the year visa free.
No it isn’t. There is a trade deal in place.
There are reports from fishermen of EU officials creating strife at borders. It’s to be expected until more stringent local applications are enforced.
@trev33 saidI’m referring to your comment about “making it personal”, which YOU did when you insulted me. I don’t mind what you say to me Trev, just don’t pretend now it was me who made it personal, it was you.

@trev33 saidYou need to check your source; this is from Gov.uk:

@blood-on-the-tracks saidI’d forgotten about Marillion! I listened to them loads in the 1980s; Fugasi and live in Leicester where good albums. Can’t remember the name of the others.

@divegeester saidNot everyone will be able to apply for residency plus this doesn't help those wishing to move in the future. To go from freedom of movement to you're only allowed 3 months in every 6 as a tourist is quite a jump.
You need to check your source; this is from Gov.uk:
Visas and residency
If you were legally resident in Spain before 1 January 2021, you will be able to stay. You must ensure you are correctly registered as a resident. Children must also be registered with their own residency document.“
I suggest you :-
a) check your sources
b) take it to debates
...[text shortened]... lling (by the way I’m happy to still remain friends with you I’m not easily put off by name calling)
@trev33 saidYou are talking about people who wanted to retire.

@trev33 saidSure. Anytime you want to reconnect on Facebook just let me know.
I called you a twat, so what? If I'm being a twat I fully expect someone to tell me so, don't be so sensitive.
@trev33 saidAs I said, if you have lived in an EU country and intend to retire there and haven’t applied for residency you’re an idiot.
"If you are starting the residency process from scratch, bear in mind you will need proof of permanent address, registration on the census known as the padron, electric and water bills in your name(s) and also local bank accounts with living expenses going in.
You will need to prove your financial self-sufficiency by showing a certain amount of money: this varies from tow ...[text shortened]... pecialising in residency. You will also need a NIE (Tax) number and healthcare cover (if under 65)."
@trev33 saidWhat was your source?
My source is correct, as is yours but peoples circumstances are different.
@trev33 saidOk but now we aren’t talking about foreign nationals, with residency, planning to retire, and who are protected under the withdrawal agreement.

@trev33 saidYou're always a twat little 't'!!! 😛
