At least I got up to great news this morning..
A win to NZ by 51 runs.
Flemming and Styris in the 80s excellent.
Good effort by the team - the opener for Pakistan (Hafeez) was looking very dangerous ... tried to watch the whole game but conked out at 4am.

The great thing about cricinfo's site is how it refreshes automatically every 30 seconds or so with a brief comment on every ball.

India v WI.

Would normally go with India but the way this comp has gone so far with such low scores it is anybodies guess.

WI are a much better OD team that test team, and they did win it last time. India have some fearsome bowlers and excellent batsmen - I'd pick them to win it this time.

West Indies win with 2 balls to spare! What a shocking delivery by Agarkar for that last boundary - far too wide. They needed 4 off 3 balls and Agarkar hands it to them on a plate! That's Steve Harmison form πŸ™

230 on a wicket that offers seam early and takes turn late is perfect for me.
I can't stand the modern super slog outs on pitches that offer nothing to the bowlers.

And just who are the fearsome bowlers from India.

Pathan
Agarkar
Patel
RP Singh

Not much fearsome about that.
Most batsmen would be more worried about Harbihjan (SP)

Pathan, Powar and Patel all looked amazing against England.

Hardly fearsome & to be fair England are rubbish in the ODI arena.

In my book fearsome bowlers need to be able to bowl @ 90mph + & be able to get bounce with direction @ the batters head/upper body.
Lee, Flintoff, Harmison, Akhtar etc.
