Jerome Taylor took a hat-trick as West Indies stunned favourites Australia by 10 runs in Champions Trophy Group A.
Runako Morton (90) and Brian Lara (71), who hurt his back, helped the Windies post a Brabourne Stadium record 234-6.
The world champions were on course to reach their target when Adam Gilchrist (92) and Michael Clarke (47) added 101 but they fell in quick succession

Guys.. dont want to be a party pooper.. but what is this tournament all about?😴
The world cup is next year.. thats a proper competition. No one is going to remember this tournament... for goodness sake.
This is just another money making venture for the ICC and this time its the Indian cricket board who win by having all the games there.
Last time it was in England... does nayone remember who won the???!!!!😴
West Indies performance was incredible, beating Australia after that disaster against Sri Lanka... Still this might just be the goading Australia need to tighten up their play. Australia are well known for their comebacks , remeber 99 world cup.

I think he was wrong to decide then and there that the ball had been tampered with with no evidence, but this can only ever be just an opinion. How can an umpire have evidence that a ball had been tampered with? He doesn't have video replays with him, he can only watch players handle the ball from far away, and from that decide whether they are being nau ...[text shortened]... er of the law. He couldn't be sacked as he didn't break any rules - he just handled it badly.
Originally posted by buffalobillThe other umpire was not Steve Blind Man Bucknor it was a litlle man with no balls to make a decision eitherway. (his name escapes me, but I remeber reading he is not at the ICC tournament either.

Black Caps play India on friday night but we haven't even got 11 fit players at the moment.
Meanwhile they are all still on about the pitches at Mumbai but I loved this from an NZcity sport report
Black Caps spinner Daniel Vettori has also waded into the debate, underlining the fact bowlers still have a part to play in one-day cricket.
Vettori says the pitch is good for bowling on, which makes a change, but there are still runs in the pitch for batsmen who apply themselves.
He's right.. I loved the days of close 200-230 runs chases on unpredictable pitches.. 350 runs plus is just a slog out. Go Daniel!

Thought it was going to be Pakistan but it doesn't like it now. Australia or South Africa look most likely to me. Would like to say England but I don't think so! Why are we so good at test cricket yet sooooooooo bad at one dayers?
