Great starts by the top batsmen but all of them losing their heads and getting out 😲

Pakistan have the batsmen to chase down this total.

Should be a great innings to watch as the willow will fly.
Non related question, was Daryl Hair wrong, and if so, why has he not been sacked?

I think he was wrong to decide then and there that the ball had been tampered with with no evidence, but this can only ever be just an opinion. How can an umpire have evidence that a ball had been tampered with? He doesn't have video replays with him, he can only watch players handle the ball from far away, and from that decide whether they are being naughty. Obviously he did, and his actions after that were just sticking to the letter of the law. He couldn't be sacked as he didn't break any rules - he just handled it badly.

He based it on the condition of the ball (his opinion of).
The umpire check it at regular intervals. He saw something he thought was "fishy" i.e. marks or scratches that were not there the previous time he checked.
He doesn't need to see them doing anything.

Then why was Inzy's team cleared of ball-tampering?

I guess the ICC didn't share Hair's opinion.

All the top teams are playing games against each other and we can watch them.

That's the point.

Dead right Crowley. It is a good measurement of how the teams are travelling and gives a chance to blood new players. A great spectacle too.

If only the bloody pitches would hold up. They seem to be disguised gravel roads at the moment.
This is disappointing from a spectator's point of view.
Hopefuly some of the other pitches will allow some actual batting to take place...

Mate, they may as well use crushed ant bed covered with mats like we do in the scrub. It would give a true bounce. (except when you aim at the joins every now and then just to keep the batsman on his toes.)
