If it wasn't for ODIs, cricket would have no sponsors today and would be dieing a slow and painful death.
Sure, tests are great. I personally prefer them, but ODIs and even 20/20 have a place in the cricket sporting spectrum and play an important role. It makes the game accessible to everyone. Hell, even my mother and girlfriend watches the one day games with me and they enjoy the close finishes and runs flowing all over the place.
Pakistan just can't help courting controversy, can they.
Their best two bowlers are now out, that's a real blow to them.
As for England - it's rubbish to say their slump will continue for years.
SA had a huge losing streak in one day cricket a couple of years ago and they recovered.
England competed very closely with Aus in one dayers last summer (think it was 7 games, 2 wins, 3 losses, one tie, one no result).
So I hope they can improve again soon, although the ODI sqaud has always been unsettled - full of bits and pieces players in and out of the team.

it seems it is up to the Pakistan Cricket Board to determine punishment if any. How can this be fair when the players represent Pakistan? It'll end up the same inconsistent shoddy mess that atheltics banning has turned into. It should be the ICC that set any bans if required for consistency IMO.
