Did you know the highest paid public servant in the Province of Ontario in 2006 was the Chief Executive Officer of Hydro One (the publicly-owned Ontario Hydro company) Tom Parkinson, whose yearly salary was $1.56 million?

Did you also know that in December he resigned from his job when the Auditor General discovered $45,000 worth of personal travel expenses which were charged to his secretary's credit card then approved by himself.

Did you also know that when he resigned the Province of Ontario granted him a $3 million severance package? All taxpayer's money.

How effed up is the bureaucracy when an idiot who makes $1.5 mil who felt the need to still rip off the public for $45K, a measly amount by his standards, is rewarded with three more million dollars?

Over here, he would probably receive a Knighthood as well, so he would be Sir Tom Parkinson.

With that kind of money he could buy a peerage instead.

It was Canadian money, so he makes about 4 US dollars an hour I figure.

Your crooked company overcharging for your "product" has nada to do with the exchange rate.

The fact is that your currency has been reduced against the steady Canadian dollar by 25% over the last three years due to the point where the Canadian dollar is now 0.90 to the US (when it used to be 0.61 just a short time ago).

Enjoy your recession, bozos!!!

WOOHOO! Canada wins AGAIN!

PS - Canada defeated the US in the Semi-Finals at the World Junior Hockey Championships today by a final score of 2-1. 😀

I think it's MUCH more than that, guy. The reason is because the US is printing money like crazy and no longer backs it with gold. They had to do that to pay for Bush's war, which is costing a billion dollars every two weeks!

Yeah, Bush and all his ignorant, stupid supporters have doomed the US for the next 20-30 years! He spent MORE MONEY than ALL the other presidents in history COMBINED! Money that the US DOES NOT HAVE!
