When you are bar-hopping you go somewhere and drink, then somebody says "where should we go next?".

A pub-crawl is more goal directed - more like a tour of bars in an area. I remember being in a club when a group of drunken law students came in. It turned out they h ...[text shortened]... y the way, all the drunken lady lawyers I've ever known have been enormously fun, yet insane.
Block Island has several bars on it. The island also has a circle road that you can spend the day riding on a rented bike, or bring your own over on the ferry. The goal is to have a drink at every bar on the island, and make the boat back.

Many have failed.

Napa Valley also has biking tours of wineries. Always seemed like a weird idea, cycling from winery to winery, sampling wine. I wonder how many people end up in a ditch by the side of the road.

in portsmouth, uk, it has the record for the most number of pubs in one road, over 20 i think; the idea is to drink in every pub and to make it from one end of the road to the other; if you're really confident, you could even try to work your way back, though by then most have no idea what way that is

in glasgow we have the clockwork orange underground-15 stops, all on a single line. the challenge, as i'm sure you've guessed, is to have a drink at the nearest pub to each station. a map is advised though-my friends tried it, and at one stop we couldn't find a pub and ended up at the next stop...

anyone played pub golf? it was a killer when i was a fresher... šŸ˜ž

just wondered, i guess there it would be a bar crawl... you know, going from pub to pub until you're so drunk you can't get to the next one.... a great british custom
yeah we do it in the US too, but like all real men, we DRIVE from bar to bar. While looking for women.

I could do that. As long as I started in the morning.

Ive been there. It is dangerous if you are drunk. Narrow platforms.

The Sunset Strip is the only place in LA where bars are that close together that I can think of, and it's way too expensive for regular folks to spend much time in.

supposedly the british are the worst drinkers in europe (worse as in they can drink a lot and never know when to stop!) - maybe from now on we shouldn't have wars, just settle any disagreements over a table, whoever drinks the most wins
