Funny how some things are understood across all countries and peoples. How is it the entire world can understand the significance of the sheep reference?
I don't think I've ever seen a thread with so much useless advice in such a small amount of posts. So, here's my bit of useless advice to go on top:
1) Wash regularly and take care on your appearance.
2) Don't reinforce ridiculous male/female stereotypes by portraying the knight in shining armour/damsel in distress crap. Just be you and don't expect her to be anyone else either.
3) As Thequ1ck said earlier; bang everything. Relationships, marriage and commitment are for when you're too old to get regular sex and need to ensure you're looked after when your too old to do it yourself.

I'll just add a couple things that I don't see in this thread yet:
Be willing to work on yourself, and especially [b]Your self image
Be willing to make everyone around you feel good, before you try to make yourself feel good.
Be willing to listen more often than speak
Be willing to let the people around you wash across your ...[text shortened]... g.
p.s opening doors, smiling, and making her smile actually does work!
