I played from age 10 til age 30 - Yea, I am a geek 😀

Have not found a group up where I live now worth playing with...they are all so.... unimaginative or Monty.

Been 8 years now. Still have the books though...wish I had not lost my Eldrich Wizardy and Chainmail books when I moved...

Any memorable scenes? The main one from my core group would be when Max the Minotaur (Intel of 6, as I recall) pointed the "firestick", launching a fireball into a bar-room melee, torching the barkeep, the drunks, and ebery member of his own party.
One of our party threatened an innkeeper. (inn in a small village somewhere) Then the local guard showed up. He fined us, but we didn't agree so we knocked him out and took him hostage in the (then empty) inn. The next day some more guards showed up, so most of us ran like hell. Then the DM lost his patience because we weren't doing the quests he created, and we never continued the sessions. Too bad, because I was having lots of fun.
All of the above took about 3 sessions of 3 hours.

A character in the group was a female warrior with an 18 charisma, who died and was ressurected as a troll!

Greyhawk has always been our realm of choice as well. Though the most memorable setting was a city taken from a Judges Guild product, Calay. Of course, I just plopped it down in the world of Greyhawk like any good DM.😉
Judges Guild put out some great stuff! Caverns Of Thracia is one of the best dungeons ever!

I bet you've got long hair, a goatee beard and still go to Gamesworkshop every weekend as well.
hair fell out, no goatee, and the only Gamesworkshop I know of is the UK company that published Talisman. Is that the one you refer to? If so, then no I don't go there every weekend.

That's a good one. Reminded me of something I'd almost forgotten. One of my favorite magic items from 1st edition was the Helm of Gender Opposition (or something like that). The wearer immediately undergoes a sex change. It was removed in later editions when the punlishers wanted to be more PC, I suppose.
