BitTorrent for albums and movies.

Limewire for single tracks [I heard Soulseek was ok too]

Been using Limewire [well actually I use Frostwire now which is a different version of it] for a few years - Never had a problem with Viruses or malware - use common sense and you'll be tickety boo. [same with almost anything online really]

I'm not into Limewire, it's fast but for me the best is eMule. If you can't find something on eMule, unless it's full DVDs in which case Bittorrent is better, you've got no chance.

I tried Soulseek but found it seriously lacking compared to eMule. Guess we're after different underground stuff...

What kind of underground stuff do you like then? I've got slsk too, and they have TONS of underground stuff, really great way of getting your music, apart from the fact that it is rather slow sometimes. For movies the torrents are great. Not sure whether you can get spyware there but I use www.isohunt.com and the azureus download program and that goes like a f1 racecar! Very very fast and very good stuff, especially the movies ripped by aXXo.

I get my elektro at slsk, like Seabound, VNV Nation (both ahve new albums, but the one by VNV Nation is kinda crap actually, too bad), and Pride and Fall, Haujobb, sometimes a little Iszoloscope to wake up. Furthermore I need Apoptygma Berzerk, DeVision, Deine Lakaien and Covenant (the elektroband, not the metal freak out guys 😛) to fill it up some.

I also enjoy good rock music. Big fan of Tool, Porcupine Tree and Radiohead.
